Sarah Lebot Toledo
Sarah grew up between Tahiti and Brittany, and now lives in the Hautes-Pyrénées, where she will soon open her workshop. She obtained a DMA in ceramics in Antibes and spent a year in residence at RAJAC. She then graduated from the ceramic house of DieuLefit. She has been making ceramics for more than 10 years, including a utilitarian part, but she prefers to limit the number of models, to stay on round objects such as the small lagon cup, the bowl and plates. She devotes time to sculpture: organic, abstract and minimalist. She also makes very targeted furniture such as ceramic poufs.
We want to be able to immerse ourselves in it, to travel in this form which is a little anchored and which allows to enter a small universe. There is a search for contemplation, for meditation through these enamels. Very inspired by the marine world, water, seashells, mother-of-pearl. A maximum of nuances with her enamels that the ceramicist creates herself.
She uses 4 different clays: red, dark gray, white and a slightly yellow one.
